We're seeking a remote GCP Cloud Practice Lead to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate possesses robust proficiency in Cloud GCP and is a recognizable figure in the local technical community. In this remote role, you will play a pivotal role in amplifying our company's technical brand within your local technical community via various channels such as podcasts, blogs, and by actively engaging in meetups. You'll also be leading cloud initiatives and working hands-on with technologies like GCP, Terraform, Bash, Python, Kubernetes, and others.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to grow the local technical community and foster active engagement
- Leverage your technical expertise to contribute to the development and implementation of Cloud GCP solutions
- Coordinate and lead cloud-focused initiatives, promoting a culture of collaboration and knowledge-sharing
- Cultivate relationships within the tech community to facilitate networking and create partnership opportunities
- Provide technical mentorship and support to community members, enabling them to navigate challenging scenarios and stay up-to-date with industry trends
Requirements
- A minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in cloud development
- A history of leading technical teams in at least 3 successful projects/cases, having had continuous hands-on work, pre-sale activities, or customer exposure in the past 2-3 years
- A minimum 2 years of experience as an Architect
- Strong technical background with demonstrated hands-on experience in Cloud GCP
- Experience with technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, and Software Configuration Management Tools
- Familiarity with Terraform
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Ruby, and Python
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with community members
- Experience in mentoring Engineers in the related discipline
- Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English, at a B2+ level

- Expertise in public speaking and presentation
- Personal technology podcast or blog showcasing expertise in Cloud GCP
