We are seeking a DevOps Engineer (Alibaba Cloud, Terraform) to support a global enterprise platform running on Alibaba Cloud. You will automate infrastructure, build and improve CI/CD pipelines and help deliver stable releases across staging and production. In this remote role, you will partner with engineering teams in Mandarin and English to troubleshoot issues, improve monitoring and raise deployment quality.
Responsibilities
- Build, update and standardize reusable infrastructure as code using Terraform
- Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Alibaba Cloud DevOps using YAML
- Administer and optimize Alibaba Cloud services to support secure, reliable operations
- Monitor environments, investigate alerts and make improvements to stability and performance
- Coordinate staging and production releases and continuously improve deployment processes
- Troubleshoot environment and pipeline issues with development teams and stakeholders
- Contribute to DevOps practice improvements through documentation, standards and shared initiatives
Requirements
- Proven experience in DevOps engineering supporting production environments
- Hands-on experience with Alibaba Cloud services in real delivery scenarios
- Strong knowledge of Terraform and infrastructure as code practices
- Experience with CI/CD implementation, including pipeline-as-code approaches in Alibaba Cloud DevOps
- Ability to monitor, troubleshoot and stabilize cloud environments with structured root cause analysis
- Working knowledge of secure operations, including access control and secrets management
- Mandarin and English proficiency for daily collaboration and documentation
- Willingness to provide on-call or escalation support when needed
Nice to have
- Experience with Alibaba Cloud Key Management Service (KMS) and message queue services
- Familiarity with Function Compute and serverless delivery patterns
- Exposure to operational readiness, change management, or release governance practices
