We are looking for a Delivery Manager with strong Python expertise to join our team in Ukraine and play a pivotal role in shaping our engineering excellence. In this role, you will focus on engineering management, driving the development of Python practice, and ensuring the growth of Python capabilities and expertise within the region.
Responsibilities
- Drive the development and growth of Python practice and expertise in Ukraine
- Mentor and guide engineering teams to enhance technical capabilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align engineering goals with business objectives
- Lead engagements averaging 30+ team members and drive project success
- Advocate for best engineering practices, tools, and technologies
- Maintain high standards of software quality within the team
- Proactively suggest tools, technologies, and approaches to optimize delivery
- Apply project management principles to ensure timely and successful delivery
- Promote and implement Agile methodologies within the team and projects
- Take ownership of hiring/staffing processes in Unit to build strong development teams
- Develop and implement training programs to upskill team members
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth
Requirements
- 8+ years of hands-on software development experience with Python
- 3+ years of experience in leadership positions
- Proven ability to manage and grow engineering teams
- Strong communication skills and experience working with global teams
- Solid track record in implementing enterprise-wide custom applications
- Strong knowledge of project management principles
- Experience with Agile methodologies and frameworks
- Hands-on experience in how LLMs work & Generative AI (LLM) techniques particularly prompt engineering, RAG, and agents
- Experience in programming skills in Python, Langchain and SQL would be a plus
- Understanding of Cloud services, including Azure, GCP, or AWS
- Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) strategies
- Knowledge of financial aspects of account/project management such as P&L, revenue, and margin
- Strong people management and organizational skills
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management capabilities
