- Confirm the integrity of migrated data along with application connectivity, while establishing rollback plans for every database cutover event
- Shape target database architecture with attention to availability, backup strategy, security, and cost control, incorporating Multi-AZ setups, encryption, and parameter adjustments
- Scale database instances and storage appropriately, and optimize performance of migrated systems relative to original source benchmarks
- Produce database runbooks and transition documentation that equip operations teams to manage the migrated platforms going forward
- Establish Amazon VPC connectivity along with subnet and security group configurations suited to database workload requirements within the landing zone
- Synchronize database cutover timing with VM migration waves handled via AWS MGN, keeping applications and their data moving together
- Develop and sustain AWS CloudFormation templates covering database infrastructure, ensuring uniform provisioning throughout each migration wave

- Professional proficiency in English (C1) and a proactive, accountable approach to problem-solving
- Background working with AWS Aurora to architect and manage resilient, cloud-native database environments
- Working knowledge of Amazon VPC for establishing secure, stable network configurations
- Experience in database performance tuning aimed at improving speed and efficiency following migration
- Familiarity with VMware vSphere, offering useful context regarding source environments before migration begins
- Relevant certification, which would be considered a valuable addition to your qualifications
