Data Analysis Team Lead for a Business Services Company

Currently, we're looking for a remote Data Analysis Team Lead with 6+ years of experience with Metadata, Data Assets Management, Data Governance & Stewardship to join our team.

The customer is a provider of high-quality business services in such areas as IT, Procurement, HR, Product Lifecycle Services, Financial Reporting and Analytics, and Real Estate and Facility Services.

The candidate is expected to be able to review and re-engineer existing client solution and to present client intermediary results on a regular basis.

The focus is to establish, run, and mature processes and technologies enabling data and analytical asset governance for DHP, and to work closely with stakeholders, data providers, data consumers, and other data management and data governance functions.

Responsibilities
  • Design, lead, and manage a data implementation strategy for all Use Case on the DHP
  • Manage and maintain data assets in alignment with data management processes
  • Ensure data governance and compliance through appropriate processes
  • Participate in mapping business data sources to appropriate repositories of data
  • Identify new critical data elements and metadata
  • Coordinate and ensure the implementation of data asset management standards and policies in close collaboration with the providers of the data
  • Establish and report metrics and KPIs around the volume, quality and usage of the data on the DHP
  • Take accountability to ensure adherence with Security and Compliance policies and procedures within Service Delivery scope
  • Act as single-point-of-contact for all data questions around the DHP
  • Accountable for data discrepancies and mitigation, data availability and consistency
  • Drive compliance risk mitigations for regional data privacy and security
  • Design the canonical data model in alignment with Novartis data guidelines
  • Participate in mapping business data needs to appropriate sources of data. Provide guidance and coordinate/resolve data issues
  • Collaborate with internal data governance teams and ensures the implementation of data governance and data asset management standards and policies
Requirements
  • University degree in Computer Science, or in Library and Information Studies or comparable
  • 6+ years of experience with metadata, data assets management, data governance & stewardship
  • 2+ years of leadership experience
  • Experience of Life sciences or Pharma, Healthcare
  • Experience of GxP/GMP
  • Experience in data flow/data models design based on frequency and business needs
  • Experience in design and establishing processes, tools & technologies to create, maintain and update data asset catalogues, analytical assets and metadata in close collaboration with identified data owners
  • Experience in identifying new critical data elements and metadata working with Data Scientists, Analysts, Data Engineering and Software Engineering Legal, Privacy and Compliance stakeholders
  • Experience in managing and maintaining the data asset library and master data with clear and unambiguous information on critical data elements
  • Experience in establishing and reporting metrics and KPIs around the volume, quality and usage of the data assets
  • Experience in escalating issues and highlighting gaps and issues in established frameworks to ensure they are updated to be fit for purpose
  • Experience in coordinating with Data Privacy, Compliance and Legal office to ensure that management and use of data assets is compliant with vario
  • Successful global data governance & management experience with distributed teams
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Very good written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient English (written and spoken) B2
