We are seeking a Cloud Engineering Manager to facilitate the organization and oversight of cloud engineering teams and small to mid-size projects.

In this role, you will define project roles and processes, ensure top-tier delivery aligned with best practices, and offer hands-on technical assistance, including code reviews, troubleshooting, and optimization efforts. You will develop project visibility and reporting mechanisms, implement SLA and SLO monitoring, and support diverse engagement structures. The role demands a proven ability to lead teams of up to 20 FTE, deep technical expertise in cloud fundamentals, and strong communication skills for engaging both technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

Facilitate the organization and oversight of cloud engineering teams and projects
Define team roles, workflows, and delivery standards
Provide hands-on technical assistance in code reviews, troubleshooting, and optimization efforts
Develop project visibility and reporting mechanisms with minimal oversight
Implement SLA and SLO monitoring to ensure service performance benchmarks are met
Support diverse engagement structures, including time-and-materials and fixed-price models
Participate in client communication, proposal generation, and minor pre-sales tasks
Lead teams of up to 20 FTE, handling recruitment, onboarding, staffing, performance evaluation, and retention initiatives
Ensure delivery aligned with best practices in cloud engineering
Represent the organization at industry events, including conferences and meetups
Simplify and communicate complex technical concepts for varied audiences, both technical and non-technical

Requirements

5+ years of IT experience, with at least 2 years in managerial roles
Advanced expertise in at least one major cloud provider (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform), with multi-cloud experience preferred
Advanced proficiency with Infrastructure as Code technologies (Terraform, Ansible), CI/CD platforms, and containerization/orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
Strong knowledge of observability solutions and familiarity with practices in Site Reliability Engineering and Platform Engineering
Strong understanding of system architecture and application of principles from the Well-Architected Framework
Advanced knowledge of cloud security encompassing best practices, identity and access management, compliance, and data protection
Proven experience managing teams of 20–50 FTE, encompassing the full employee management cycle
Background in pre-sales and proposal generation, involving estimation, presentations, and detailed documentation
Skills in delivery management and coordination of projects
English proficiency at B2 level or higher

Market orientation combined with domain consulting capabilities

Familiarity with Generative AI applications and prompt engineering techniques
Participation in R&D initiatives and accelerator programs
