We are looking for a Cloud Architect to shape VMware-to-AWS migration strategy and architecture across complex enterprises. You will guide technical governance, align architecture, engineering, and operations, and lead distributed teams to meet technical, functional, and commercial goals—apply now.
Responsibilities
- Design the target solution architecture for VMware to AWS migration programs
- Define the migration approach, wave planning, and acceptance criteria for each project phase
- Coordinate cross-functional teams of architects, infrastructure specialists, network engineers, database engineers, security experts, and DevOps engineers
- Oversee migration execution to ensure quality, stability, and alignment with agreed timelines
- Establish Landing Zone, Disaster Recovery, and hybrid connectivity architectures between on-premises and AWS environments
- Manage technical risks, dependencies, and mitigation plans across the project lifecycle
- Serve as the primary technical contact for clients, vendors, and global teams
- Ensure adherence to security standards, cloud governance, and AWS Well-Architected Framework best practices
- Drive adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation processes
- Improve the migration factory by tracking and boosting productivity, quality, and throughput indicators
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or related field with 9+ years of experience in infrastructure, cloud architecture, and technology transformation, including 5+ years leading AWS migration programs in complex enterprise environments
- Deep expertise in AWS, the AWS Well-Architected Framework, and EC2
- Hands-on proficiency with VPC, IAM, and CloudFormation/Terraform
- Practical skills in AWS MGN, ECS/ECR, and RDS
- Solid knowledge of Local Zones, migration factories, and runbooks automation
- Advanced command of Terraform, plus experience with Ansible and CI/CD pipelines
- Working familiarity with Python scripting, Docker, and the ECS Anywhere to ECS Fargate/EC2 transition
- Strong knowledge of RDS (PostgreSQL, MySQL), DMS, and MongoDB
- Clear understanding of VPN, Direct Connect, and Transit Gateway
- Good grasp of Security Groups, NACLs, and DR architectures
- Proven track record with sync scheduling, RPO/RTO, and FinOps
- Direct experience in VMware to AWS Migration
Nice to have
- Experience with Kubernetes (EKS)
