We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Chief SAP BW/HANA Developer who is committed to leveraging data for operational and strategic success.
This role centers on creating and sustaining robust data models, workflows, and reporting solutions to meet the advanced needs of manufacturing, engineering, and business functions.
Responsibilities
- Lead advanced data model development and reporting solutions in SAP BW and HANA environments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze business needs and deliver scalable technical solutions
- Optimize performance for data loading, extraction, and reporting processes in BW and HANA platforms
- Define standards for data architecture, modeling, and governance
- Ensure seamless integration with SAP and non-SAP systems for consistent data flow
- Support comprehensive system testing and resolve technical challenges
- Manage deployment and ensure system stability following go-live
- Provide leadership and mentorship to junior developers within the team
- Guide stakeholders with best practices and insights on emerging SAP BW/HANA technologies
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience in SAP BW, HANA, and related technologies
- Strong understanding of HANA modeling, BW queries, and SAP Analytics Cloud
- Background in ETL tools like SAP BODS or SDI
- Proficiency in database management, including SQL and performance tuning
- Competency in integration technologies such as API, OData, and Webservice
- Familiarity with data governance, security protocols, and compliance standards
- A proven ability to address complex technical issues in fast-paced environments
- Flexibility to use SAP reporting tools such as BEx Analyzer, Lumira Designer, or Analysis for Office
- Fluent English communication skills at a B2+ level
Nice to have
- Knowledge of SAP Fiori or UI5 for frontend integration
- Capability to innovate and apply design thinking in data-driven solutions
- Understanding of Agile or DevOps methodologies for SAAS development
- Background in large manufacturing or engineering enterprises
