Chief Go Developer with GCP

We are looking for a Chief Go Developer to lead the IAS Backend migration project for our remote team.

As our Chief Go Developer, you will be responsible for spearheading the design and implementation of the new IAS Backend. You will also be in charge of the plan for shifting the old IAS Backend to the new one and any additional work needed on the old IAS Backend. Your expertise in Golang, Cloud Platforms, and Google Cloud APIs will be essential for the successful execution of this project.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and development of the new IAS Backend, ensuring it meets the project requirements and aligns with the company's standards
  • Develop the plan for shifting the old IAS Backend to the new one while ensuring the continuity of service for existing customers
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of the new IAS Backend into the company's ecosystem
  • Develop and deploy containerized applications on the cloud platform
  • Implement media processing solutions for the new IAS Backend, with a focus on video processing
  • Ensure the new IAS Backend is scalable and maintainable, with a high level of code quality and documentation
  • Mentor and guide junior developers on the team
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience as a Software Developer, with expertise in Golang development
  • Experience with Cloud Platform development and invocation, particularly with Google Cloud Platform and its APIs
  • Experience in developing and deploying containerized applications on cloud platforms
  • Proficient in SQL and Database management
  • Experience with media processing, particularly with videos, is preferred
  • Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform services such as GKE, Anthos Service Mesh (or Istio), Cloud Tasks, Cloud PubSub, Cloud Functions, and some others
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with an Upper-Intermediate level of English proficiency

  • Strong familiarity with Protocol Buffers and gRPC
