Chief Fullstack Developer (React and AWS)

We are looking for a seasoned Chief Fullstack Developer with expertise in React and AWS to join our team.

In this role, you will lead the development of scalable fullstack applications and manage a team of engineers to deliver impactful solutions. You will work closely with various departments to ensure seamless collaboration between frontend and backend systems while utilizing modern cloud technologies. Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain high-quality fullstack applications using JavaScript/TypeScript (React, Node.js), Java (Spring Boot), and Python
  • Drive the design and implementation of RESTful APIs, event-driven systems, and cloud-native solutions with AWS Lambda and other cloud tools
  • Oversee frontend development with React, ensuring efficient integration with backend services and cloud infrastructure
  • Implement infrastructure-as-code practices using Terraform and automate CI/CD workflows with Docker, GitHub Actions, and AWS Elastic Beanstalk
  • Uphold best practices for code quality, security, and system observability using tools like Datadog, Splunk, and New Relic
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to the engineering team, conduct code reviews, and enforce development standards
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, improve onboarding processes, and contribute to decision-making to support team growth and project success
Requirements
  • A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
  • At least 7 years of experience in web application development, including leading fullstack projects
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and lead engineering teams effectively in a professional setting
  • Advanced skills in JavaScript/TypeScript (React, Node.js) and Java (Spring Boot) for fullstack application development
  • Extensive knowledge of cloud platforms, particularly AWS, along with experience in Docker and CI/CD automation
  • Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and expertise in DevOps practices
  • Hands-on experience with testing frameworks like Cucumber, Selenium, Cypress, JUnit, or RSpec for automated testing
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging platforms like Splunk, Datadog, or New Relic to ensure system performance and reliability
  • Strong understanding of REST APIs, microservices architecture, and event-driven design principles
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and mentoring skills to guide and support engineering teams
  • Fluent English skills (written and spoken) at a B2 level or higher for effective collaboration and documentation
Nice to have
  • Experience with additional programming languages such as Python, Ruby, or Rust
  • Knowledge of build and configuration tools including Maven, Projen, or similar technologies
  • Experience working with legacy systems like AS400 or involvement in data migration projects
  • Expertise in creating detailed documentation and onboarding processes to enhance knowledge sharing and team integration
