Chief Full Stack Ruby Developer

We are looking for an experienced Chief Ruby Developer to join our remote team.

In this role, you will work on enhancing an existing Ruby on Rails web application. Your main responsibilities will be to build out new capabilities, write tests for new features, and enhance the web UI to make it more intuitive for a wide audience. Responsibilities
  • Enhance the existing CRUD operations of the evaluation data model and framework
  • Write performant solutions that prioritize the end customer’s satisfaction while using the web application
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers, UX Designers, and other Developers to deliver consistent, simple solutions that correspond to the existing CSS and JavaScript conventions in the platform
  • Build out features that enhance existing CRUD operations of the existing evaluation data model and framework
  • Deliver consistent simple solutions that correspond to the existing CSS and JavaScript conventions in the platform
  • Enhance the web UI with new user interfaces that make the collection of data intuitive for a wide audience
  • Write performant solutions that prioritize the end customer’s satisfaction while using the web application
Requirements
  • At least 7 years of experience in Ruby Web Development, with a focus on building out new capabilities in existing web applications
  • At least 2 years of experience in leading software development teams, demonstrating adept leadership skills
  • Strong knowledge of Ruby Frameworks, including Rails
  • Proficiency in React-Bootstrap and Bootstrap JS for creating responsive web designs
  • Experience with developing features that incorporate nested attributes of Rails models
  • Excellent understanding of Rails controllers and ActiveJob frameworks for offloading out-of-band tasks
  • Ability to write consistent, well-thought-out unit and system tests for all new features
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external organizations and virtual teams
  • Proficient in English language, with at least an Upper-Intermediate level of proficiency
Nice to have
  • Experience with React-Bootstrap
  • Strong familiarity with PostgreSQL
