We are searching for a seasoned Chief Data Engineer to join our remote team and lead the delivery of cutting-edge, scalable data solutions.

In this position, you will oversee technical teams, shape system architecture, and contribute to transformative projects that address intricate data challenges. The ideal candidate will combine a robust technical foundation, strong leadership acumen, and a demonstrated passion for mentorship and innovation.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and development of scalable and efficient data architectures
  • Build and maintain data pipelines and workflows to guarantee data quality and accessibility
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and provide data-driven solutions
  • Offer technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams
  • Optimize systems for performance, scalability, and reliability
  • Establish and uphold technical best practices to ensure code quality
  • Conduct code reviews and actively participate in technical discussions
  • Support pre-sales activities and client engagements while contributing to SWAT team efforts
  • Facilitate knowledge-sharing initiatives and participate in meetups and technical talks
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and incorporate innovative solutions
Requirements
  • Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Minimum of 7 years as a Data Engineer
  • At least 2 years of leadership experience, including team management and project oversight
  • Participation in at least 2 full-cycle projects or various phases of development lifecycles
  • Hands-on experience in coding and solving challenging technical issues
  • Proficiency in Python for data processing, analysis, and automation
  • Expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS) for cloud-based data solutions
  • Knowledge of Databricks for big data analytics and machine learning workflows
  • Skills in system design and architecture with the ability to balance strategy and execution
  • Demonstrated success in delivering major technical contributions in projects and organizations
  • Cross-disciplinary knowledge of multiple technical domains and technology stacks
  • Willingness to mentor and share expertise within teams and the broader community
  • Competency in adopting innovative tools, frameworks, or methodologies
  • Flexibility to adapt to various programming languages, technical stacks, and domains as required
  • Fluency in English at a B2 level or higher

  • Knowledge of real-time data processing and streaming technologies
  • Understanding of advanced machine learning and AI frameworks
  • Familiarity with serverless computing solutions for data workflows
