We are seeking a remote Chief Cloud Application Developer to join our team. In this role, you will drive the implementation of fully automated CI/CD patterns using Kubernetes, Spinnaker, and other Google cloud technologies. Your primary responsibility will be to fully integrate and manage the DevOps team alongside a DevOps architect to ensure best practices are implemented across applications. You will also lead teams in the direction of initiatives such as CI/CD and enterprise monitoring, and work on support services operational on the cloud. With your experience and expertise, you will be responsible for promoting best practices and digging into the technical details to solve problems, while mentoring junior team members.
Responsibilities
- Fully automate provisioning, deployment, management, and monitoring for a rapidly evolving and highly scalable set of SaaS services
- Collaborate with the agile software quality Engineering team and validate various features and products in the Infoblox NIOS DDI platform
- Lead the implementation of monitoring and management solutions for cloud-based products using a combination of commercial off-the-shelf and homegrown solutions
- Collaborate with application architects on standardized and scalable methods to manage logs, service elements, etc.
- Design and develop DevOps tools to reduce manual work, improve security, and reduce human error
- Build resilient and self-scaling systems that minimize customer impacts, while providing a healthy work environment for operators
- Mentor team members and promote best practices
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of experience managing web services
- 2+ years of relevant leadership experience
- Proven experience managing one of the cloud platforms, GCP and/or AWS cloud services
- Hands-on experience with multiple GCP services GKE, VM, Load Balancer, Database, VPC, S3, etc or comparable services in other cloud environments
- Solid experience with infrastructure as code, such as terraform or ARM
- Experience leading CI/CD pipelines development in AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud environments
- Proven experience leading monitoring and management systems for enterprise SaaS products
- Hands-on experience with at least one of the following programming languages: shell, Python or GoLang
- Solid experience with monitoring and alerting tools, including APM, Splunk, PagerDuty, Prometheus, Grafana, Azure monitoring, etc.
- Solid experience with configuration management, such as Chef, Puppet, Ansible, and/or Salt
- Proven experience with Linux distributions, including CentOS, Ubuntu, and Amazon Linux
- Experience with Databricks
- B1+ English level proficiency
