We're in search of a Chief Automation Tester in Java to join our dynamic team remotely.
The successful candidate will spearhead our automation testing endeavors for an innovative financial technology project in collaboration with a multinational banking corporation. Your role involves ensuring top-notch quality in software products through the creation and implementation of automated testing frameworks using Java and tools such as Serenity BDD, REST Assured, Apache JMeter, and Microsoft Azure. Additionally, as a Chief Automation Tester, you'll provide mentorship to a team of automation testers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality software products.
Responsibilities
- Participate in team Scrum meetings to review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide meaningful feedback
- Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
- Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities
- Design, develop, and execute automation scripts using open-source tools
- Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs
- Expand and maintain the automated test suite for the services we create
- Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet business needs
- Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
Requirements
- 7+ years of work experience in quality assurance in software development
- 2+ years of relevant leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
- Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases
- Experience working with automation testing tools such as Serenity BDD and JMeter
- Experience with Microsoft Azure
- Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
- Hands-on experience with automated testing tools. Based on work with Selenium in Java, experience in one of those is required
- Proficient English (written and spoken) B2
Nice to have
- Experience working within a Scrum development framework
- Experience with performance and/or security testing is advantageous
- Experience with Postman
- Background in Payments
