The Chief Android Developer we are looking for will be an integral part of our remote team.

The core of this role involves developing and supporting a highly-rated Android native app for customers. As the Chief Android Developer, you will need to possess superior Android development abilities, along with expert knowledge in Java, App Components, UI frameworks, developer tools, and workflows. Collaborative work with both local and remote teams is necessary, thus leadership abilities and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment are essential.

Responsibilities
  • The development and support of the customer's Android native app
  • Participation in the development of next-generation applications
  • Cooperation with cross-functional teams to ensure project success
  • Alignment of app development with customer requirements and industry standards
  • Keeping abreast of the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure app relevance
  • Providing guidance and mentorship to junior team members
  • Assuming a leadership role in projects when needed
Requirements
  • A record of at least 7 years in Mobile App Development
  • Two or more years of experience in leading software development teams with demonstrated leadership capabilities
  • Proficiency in Android, App Components, UI frameworks, developer tools, and workflows
  • Comprehensive understanding of Java
  • A firm understanding of Android Design Patterns, Google's Design Guidelines, and Google Play Developer Program Policies
  • Experience in networking, local data caching, and multitasking on Android
  • Familiarity with 3rd party libraries and services
  • Knowledge and experience in Agile processes
  • Ability to work in a dynamic team environment with both local and remote resources
  • Proficiency in English for effective communication with team members and stakeholders
Nice to have
  • Experience in developing with other mobile platforms
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development skills
