We are hiring a Business Consultant to lead the Camunda 8 target architecture and steer migration delivery for the processes in scope. You will work side by side with client teams and a third-party platform vendor to coordinate standards, cutover strategy, and cross-team delivery. Apply now!
Responsibilities
- Own and define the target Camunda 8 solution architecture for in-scope processes aligned to the Logical Data Model and ABAC/PBAC access control model
- Set and uphold Camunda engineering standards, quality metrics, and best practices across the Development POD
- Lead migration execution across low, medium, and high complexity processes using the defined complexity tiers
- Create and validate the per-process parallel-run and cutover strategy including routing, shared integration, and decommission triggers
- Align with the third-party vendor responsible for Camunda platform and infrastructure setup on platform-layer and application-layer design
- Validate Integration Layer connectivity to existing REST APIs in close coordination with the API team
- Lead the reference data migration approach for process definitions, DMN tables, forms, business dictionaries, and lookup tables
- Unblock cross-team technical dependencies between the Development POD, Solution Architecture, and the Service Store
- Assist UAT technical validation and defect resolution and contribute to documentation, runbooks, and knowledge transfer to BPM Admins and IT Operations
- Support backlog sizing and complexity assessment using defined criteria
Requirements
- Broad experience delivering enterprise software and platform solutions in complex organizations
- Practical Camunda 8 experience with Zeebe, Operate, Tasklist, and Connectors in enterprise contexts
- Demonstrated team management skills leading technical delivery and cross-functional teams
- Track record of architecture leadership defining target solution architectures for BPM platforms
- Deep understanding of BPMN 2.0, DMN/FEEL, and Camunda Forms
- Working knowledge of Camunda deployment architecture (Orchestration Cluster, HA/Raft consensus, PostgreSQL secondary storage)
- Hands-on integration experience with OIDC-based identity providers in Camunda contexts (for example Microsoft Entra ID or Okta)
- Proven experience migrating legacy BPM platforms to Camunda using strangler or parallel-run cutover patterns
- Solid knowledge of REST-based integration architectures and API-first collaboration models
- Strong stakeholder communication skills to facilitate technical discussions with client architecture boards
