We are seeking a Senior SAP IS Retail Master Data Functional Consultant to collaborate with business stakeholders to define user requirements and propose effective solutions. The role encompasses solution design, writing functional specifications, system configuration, and driving development and testing of SAP enhancements. The consultant will analyze complex business needs and leverage SAP capabilities to deliver effective automated solutions, applying deep business knowledge with technical expertise.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and facilitate workshops to gather business requirements
  • Analyze and solution requirements, translating them into functional specifications with technical details, and liaise with the development team during the development phase
  • Manage and maintain core master data objects, including Article (single, generic, variants), Site (Store, DCs), customer, vendor and purchase info records, assortment and listing/delisting, pricing conditions, and article hierarchies
  • Enhance master data objects with additional fields in standard and custom tables, screens, and tabs
  • Ensure accurate and consistent master data across systems through governance and building custom validations in the master data objects
  • Design and create custom Fiori apps for master data maintenance related to different business processes (e.g., article/vendor/customer/site master data, assortments)
  • Integrate master data objects with POS, WMS, eCommerce platforms, and other third-party systems
  • Build interfaces using ALE/EDI frameworks, IDocs, file transfers, APIs, and middleware solutions
  • Create custom message types, IDocs, and extensions of standard IDocs, as well as custom BAPIs, function modules, RFCs, and user exits as needed
  • Perform SAP configuration (IMG) and utilize standard and custom mass update tools, including LSMW, per business requirements
  • Deliver best-in-class SAP solutions with high-quality design based on complex business requirements
  • Perform unit and integration tests and support UAT
Requirements
  • 10+ years of prior experience implementing SAP applications from design to Go-Live, with a minimum of 7 years in SAP IS Retail functionalities
  • Strong functional and technical knowledge of SAP IS Retail master data business processes (Article, sites, customer, vendor and info records, pricing conditions, article hierarchies, etc.)
  • Understanding of SAP IS-Retail architecture, data model, and business processes
  • Expertise in business change, escalation, process management, and business systems requirements definition
  • Proficiency in SAP configuration (IMG) and creating custom Fiori apps for master data maintenance
  • Knowledge of parameterization framework and value mappings logics
  • Skills in system integration using ALE/EDI frameworks, IDocs, and file transfers (CSV, XML, JSON)
  • Competency in APIs, OData, and middleware platforms such as SAP PI/PO and MuleSoft
  • Expertise in standard IDocs, creation of custom message types and IDocs, and extension of standard IDocs
  • Familiarity with standard BAPIs, function modules, RFCs, user exits, and the ability to create custom ones as needed
  • Background in standard mass update tools, custom mass update tool creation, and LSMW
  • Understanding of end-to-end retail processes — P2P (SAP MM), Merchandising, O2C (SAP SD) — and integration between modules, including FI
