We are building an Enterprise Agent Development Platform — a production-grade, cloud-native ecosystem enabling teams to define, orchestrate, deploy, and observe AI agents at scale. As a Senior Observability Engineer focused on Telemetry Extension & ADOT Pipeline, you will extend the Agent Observability SDK, driving collector pipeline design and YAML-driven telemetry configuration to empower teams with deep visibility into their AI agents.

Responsibilities
  • Extend the Agent Observability SDK with custom telemetry capabilities
  • Design and implement ADOT collector pipelines, including processors and exporters
  • Develop YAML-driven telemetry configuration schemas for flexible, declarative observability
  • Build custom metrics and spans leveraging OpenTelemetry SDK extension patterns
  • Configure and optimize AWS CloudWatch Metrics and X-Ray export pipelines
  • Collaborate with platform teams to integrate observability into the agent lifecycle
  • Ensure telemetry solutions scale reliably across production, cloud-native environments
  • Contribute to Python SDK library design, ensuring maintainability and extensibility
Requirements
  • 3+ years of observability or platform engineering experience
  • Background in ADOT or OpenTelemetry collector pipeline design
  • Proficiency in Python SDK or library development and design
  • Expertise in AWS Distro for OpenTelemetry (ADOT) collector configuration, including pipelines, processors, and exporters
  • Knowledge of OpenTelemetry SDK extension patterns for custom metrics, custom spans, and configurable telemetry
  • Skills in AWS CloudWatch Metrics and X-Ray export pipelines
  • Familiarity with YAML-driven telemetry configuration schemas
  • English level B1+ for effective communication
Nice to have
  • Familiarity with Strands or LangGraph frameworks
  • Understanding of customer-facing SDK extensibility patterns
  • Competency in Amazon CloudWatch custom metrics and dimensions
