We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to guide a team of skilled engineers in designing and implementing cloud migration strategies. In this role, you will serve as a key technical authority, collaborating closely with architects and engineers to deliver robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of System Engineers and DevOps professionals
- Oversee and advise on the migration path for given applications
- Act as the main point of contact for other architects and engineers
- Develop and maintain automation through Shell scripting
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
- Manage and operate workloads on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
- Design and provision infrastructure using Terraform
- Implement and maintain Anthos Service Mesh / Istio
- Configure networking components, including firewall rules
- Create and maintain Helm charts for application deployments
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a DevOps or System Engineering role, preferably within the financial services industry
- Background in rearchitecting applications for cloud and containerization
- Expertise in Continuous Integration practices and GitHub Actions
- Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
- Skills in infrastructure provisioning and management with Terraform
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Good business acumen
- English proficiency at B2+ level
Nice to have
- Background in software development and/or architecture
- Knowledge of the German language
