AWS Solution Architect II

We are looking for an AWS Solution Architect II to join our remote team for an exciting project.
The main focus of this role will be to determine client requirements, and create a target state design, and migration plan, followed by executing the agreed plan. The scope of this project involves creating a containerized version of the application, creating a CI/CD pipeline, and provisioning infrastructure through Terraform for a renowned client. The target state will include containers either running on Kubernetes or AWS and/or the client's private cloud, and we'll help the customer understand the best option. As the Cloud Architect, you'll work collaboratively with the client, Solution, and Security Architects, and oversee the engineering resources performing the migration execution.
- Lead in application and infrastructure discovery and workshop with the client and Solution and Security Architects
- Create the target state design and migration and test plans
- Oversee and support engineering resources performing the migration execution
- Act as a hands-on SME for DevOps and Cloud-related tasks
- Determine the best migration approach and platform for each case, based on business needs
- Architect target state on AWS, including integration and landing zone requirements
- Determine EKS or Kubernetes requirements and high-level configurations
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in Software Engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
- At least 2 years of experience as a Software Architect
- Expertise in System Architecture and AWS Cloud Architecture
- Hands-on experience in Ansible, Containerization, and Terraform
- Proven experience in independently architecting target states on AWS, including integration and landing zone requirements
- Ability to determine the EKS or Kubernetes requirements and high-level configurations
- Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and team members, both written and verbal, with advanced English proficiency (C1+)
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Ability to identify and troubleshoot complex software and infrastructure issues
- Experience with Docker
