We are in search of an AWS Solution Architect I with experience in System Architecture and AWS Cloud Architecture to join our remote team.

This role involves working on an exciting project to determine client requirements, create a target state design and migration plan, and then execute this agreed plan. Our client is looking to migrate their current application to a more efficient platform and we are tasked with identifying the best migration approach and platform that will suit their business needs. If you are an experienced architect with hands-on experience in AWS Cloud Architecture, Containerization, Ansible, Terraform, and Python, then this is a fantastic opportunity to work on a challenging project and make a lasting impact.

Responsibilities
  • Independently architect target state on AWS, including integration and landing zone requirements
  • Determine the EKS or Kubernetes requirements and high-level configurations
  • Work collaboratively as a leader in the architecture team
  • Communicate effectively with the client, EPAM peers, and engineers on approach
  • Lead in application and infrastructure discovery
  • Workshop with the client and our Solution and Security Architects
  • Create the target state design
  • Develop the migration and test plans
  • Oversee and support our engineering resources who are performing the migration execution
  • Be a hands-on SME as needed for DevOps and cloud-related tasks
Requirements
  • Minimum of 7 years of practical hands-on experience in software development, with a deep understanding of Systems Architecture
  • At least 2 projects in a technical team lead role with constant hands-on work during the last 3 years
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience as a Software Architect
  • In-depth knowledge of AWS Cloud Architecture and experience in migrating applications
  • Solid understanding of Containerization, Ansible, and Terraform
  • Good understanding of Kubernetes or EKS
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
  • Strong leadership and management skills to oversee and support engineering resources
  • Proficient in the English language with an advanced level of competency (C1+)

  • Proficiency in Python
  • AWS Solution Architect certification
