We're seeking a talented and driven Android Software Engineer to join our mobile engineering team. This person will own the development, optimization, and upkeep of native Android applications built on a modern Kotlin-based stack. The role involves designing user-friendly interfaces and robust backend connections that ensure a seamless mobile experience, while collaborating with product managers, UX/UI designers, and backend engineers to turn feature concepts into scalable, dependable, and high-performing Android apps.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain high-performance native Android applications using Kotlin
  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement responsive and intuitive interfaces aligned with Material Design guidelines
  • Integrate applications with backend microservices and RESTful/GraphQL APIs to provide dynamic content and features
  • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code
  • Participate in code reviews to maintain quality standards and foster knowledge sharing within the team
  • Create unit and UI tests to ensure application stability
  • Evaluate app performance to enhance speed, battery efficiency, and memory usage
  • Assist in preparing and releasing application updates to the Google Play Store
Requirements
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience developing native Android applications
  • Strong command of Kotlin and in-depth knowledge of the Android SDK
  • Familiarity with modern Android architecture components and design patterns like MVVM, MVI, and Clean Architecture
  • Experience with Dependency Injection using Hilt/Dagger and Coroutines/Flow
  • Working knowledge of Android Studio, Gradle, and Git
  • Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose or XML-based layouts
  • Practical experience using JUnit and Espresso for testing
  • Ability to work effectively in an Agile/Scrum environment and collaborate using tools such as Jira and Confluence
  • English proficiency at B2 level or above
