We're on the hunt for an Accounting Manager to become part of our organization. This individual will take on the role of Accounting & Tax Manager for Brazil, functioning as the subject-matter authority across accounting operations, tax adherence, statutory filings, audit processes, readiness for tax reform, and local controllership duties. The position blends strategic oversight with direct, hands-on involvement, requiring close partnership with outside vendors, auditors, tax consultants, Global SSC teams, and senior finance leadership.

Responsibilities
  • Preserve the integrity of accounting frameworks and internal control measures according to BR GAAP/CPC, US GAAP, and organizational policy requirements
  • Supervise monthly close procedures, reconciliation of accounts, posting of journal entries, and examination of balance sheet items
  • Lend support throughout statutory and tax audit processes, as well as activities connected to SOX controls
  • Facilitate coordination among SSC personnel, third-party accounting and tax service providers, auditors, and advisory consultants
  • Hold primary responsibility for Brazil's tax compliance requirements, spanning IRPJ, CSLL, ISS, PIS, and COFINS
  • Position the company to successfully navigate forthcoming Brazilian tax reform measures, including those tied to CBS/IBS
  • Help bridge statutory figures with US GAAP through reconciliation work, associated reporting duties, ongoing process refinement, and integration support
Requirements
  • A completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or a field closely connected to it
  • Five years or more of applicable hands-on experience within the profession
  • A minimum of two years functioning in a Senior, Lead, Manager, or Owner-type position
  • A proven history of successfully leading engagements involving groups of five or more full-time staff members
  • Mandatory possession of an active CRC registration
  • Prior exposure to accounting, controllership, and/or taxation matters within the Brazilian context
  • Strong familiarity with BR GAAP/CPC principles along with reasonable exposure to US GAAP and/or IFRS frameworks
  • Applied, real-world experience working with SAP software
  • Fluent command of English at a B2 proficiency level or beyond
