We are seeking a highly skilled remote Senior Java Developer to join our API development team, creating a set of APIs for client-facing applications to consume, including mobile, web online, and chatbots. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions that meet the needs of our clients. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams and work in an Agile environment to develop scalable and robust software solutions. Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain high-quality software solutions that meet the needs of our clients
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop scalable and robust software solutions
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
- Write efficient and effective code using Test-driven development (TDD) and Unit testing
- Integrate APIs with various applications, including mobile, web online, and chatbots
- Provide technical guidance and support to other developers in the team
- Ensure the quality control of software deliverables to meet the highest standards
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Java development, demonstrating expertise in Spring Boot and Spring frameworks
- Proven experience in developing APIs and microservices, showcasing your ability to design and develop scalable and robust software solutions
- Strong knowledge of Unit testing, highlighting your ability to write efficient and effective code
- Experience with Angular, Git, and API integration, enabling you to work with front-end developers and integrate APIs with various applications
- Exposure to AWS or other public cloud platforms, showcasing your knowledge of cloud computing and cloud-native architectures
- Fluent spoken and written English at an intermediate level or higher
Nice to have
- Experience with Kong API Gateway or other API Gateway solutions
- Exposure to AWS EKS, AWS EC2, and AuroraDB (PostgreSQL)
- Experience with CloudWatch
