We are seeking a Senior Python MCP Engineer to spearhead the development of a production-grade, cloud-native Enterprise Agent Development Platform that enables engineering teams to define, orchestrate, deploy, and monitor AI agents at scale. The platform, built on LangGraph and Strands Agents within AWS AgentCore Runtime, standardizes agent development across the organization by providing a simplified single-file developer workflow that handles runtime, tooling, observability, and deployment automatically. This role focuses on the template library and MCP factory/delivery service, forming part of a broader initiative spanning agent framework design, runtime architecture, marketplace integration, CI/CD automation, and enterprise observability.
- Design and maintain the template library and MCP factory/delivery service to support scalable agent development
- Implement server-side MCP protocol capabilities to ensure consistent communication between agents and tools
- Build and optimize serverless components leveraging AWS Lambda and API Gateway
- Develop asynchronous Python services utilizing FastMCP, asyncio, and Pydantic
- Embed platform-wide observability standards using OpenTelemetry for traces, metrics, and logs
- Apply container security baseline practices throughout the development lifecycle
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to reduce agent development timelines from months to days
- Uphold consistent standards for security, quality, and governance across the platform
- 3+ years of experience developing in Python
- Background in API and integration engineering
- Skilled in async Python frameworks such as FastAPI and aiohttp
- Deep expertise in Python, FastMCP, asyncio, and Pydantic
- Working knowledge of AWS Lambda and API Gateway
- Solid grasp of server-side MCP protocol implementation
- Familiarity with OpenTelemetry for tracing, metrics, and logging
- Hands-on experience applying container security baseline practices
- English language proficiency at B2 level or above
- Practical experience with the FastMCP library
- Knowledge of LangGraph tool integration
- Exposure to AWS Bedrock or AgentCore
