Our customer is a premier USA national Property/Casualty and Professional Liability insurance carrier that designs, markets, and underwrites commercial products and services.
EPAM has recently taken over the ownership and support of a key business application from the original software vendor. We are looking for a skilled Senior .NET Software Engineer with VB (Visual Basic) experience who will help us support existing modules and actively develop new features. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in stabilizing, maintaining, and modernizing a business-critical system for a major US financial and insurance client.

Чим ви будете займатися у цій ролі
- Support & Maintenance: Provide high-quality support for existing modules and create small-to-medium enhancements at the initial stage
- Code Maintenance & Migration: Maintain parts of the application written in VB (Visual Basic) and ASP, while actively developing new features on C# / .NET
- Process Alignment: Follow and help optimize established development, testing, and release processes
- Customer Interaction: Interact and communicate directly with the Customer's technical and business stakeholders
- Analysis & Estimation: Analyze incoming business requirements, participate in grooming sessions, and provide accurate estimates
- Release Management: Prepare and execute support releases to ensure high system availability
Навички
- Senior-level C# & .NET expertise: Strong knowledge of .NET Framework (versions 2.0 to 4.0)
- VB Skills: Hands-on experience or solid understanding of VB (Visual Basic) for supporting and troubleshooting legacy parts of the system
- Database Management: Strong proficiency in MS SQL (writing queries, stored procedures, optimization)
- Communication: Upper-Intermediate (B2+) level of spoken and written English for direct communication with the US-based customer
- Problem-solving mindset: Strong debugging and analytical skills to work effectively with inherited codebases

- Experience with ASP pages and XSLX processing
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps (pipelines, boards, source control)
- Domain knowledge or practical experience in the Insurance / InsurTech domain (especially Property/Casualty or Professional Liability)
