We're seeking a Lead Python Engineer to join our team and support an automated system that evaluates Oil and Gas field safety while recommending optimization scenarios through real-time data analysis. This position involves building and enhancing simulation scenarios, working within internally built infrastructure layered on Cognite Data Fusion, and partnering with subject matter experts to build and validate complex production system logic.

- Architect, build, test, and launch Python-based applications and solutions
- Build and launch Python solutions using Cognite Function and Azure Kubernetes Services
- Create unit test cases to guarantee code quality and dependability
- Debug, refine, and support Python applications
- Create new simulation scenarios and enhance current ones for Oil and Gas Production systems
- Address bugs identified through tester feedback
- Utilize data uploaded from ETL pipelines to execute simulation scenarios
- Partner with SMEs to build required steps, processes, and logic for the GAP application
- Become well-versed with the GAP application to validate edge cases
- Acquire and apply knowledge of cognite-sdk based on given assignments
Навички
- 6+ years of back-end development experience
- 1+ years of applicable leadership experience
- B2-level English proficiency
- Solid grasp of Python programming and software development fundamentals
- Background in C# and Web API
- Knowledge of Python frameworks, libraries, and deployment approaches
- Strong familiarity with Azure Cloud, especially Azure Functions
- Hands-on experience with libraries including cognite-sdk, openserver, pandas, and numpy
