We are seeking a skilled Tableau Developer to join our dynamic team and take ownership of designing, implementing, and managing Tableau solutions to support data-driven decision-making.
This role requires expertise in creating interactive dashboards, maintaining the Tableau environment, and ensuring performance optimization to meet organizational needs.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement end-to-end Tableau solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability
- Create and maintain data architectures that include data sources, ETL processes, data transformations, and data models
- Define and enforce best practices for interactive dashboard development and data storytelling
- Serve as the subject matter expert on Tableau’s latest features, functionalities, and best practices
- Develop advanced analytics within Tableau using parameter controls, LOD expressions, and calculated fields
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather data visualization requirements and translate them into actionable solutions
- Design visually compelling dashboards, charts, graphs, and maps to communicate complex insights effectively
- Work with data engineers to integrate and transform data from multiple sources for visualization purposes
- Ensure data accuracy, quality, and completeness within Tableau dashboards and reports
- Optimize dashboard performance by improving query efficiency and resolving bottlenecks
- Provide technical support and training to stakeholders and end-users for effective Tableau utilization
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as a Tableau Developer or in a similar role
- Knowledge of Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server, and Tableau Prep
- Skills in SQL, data modeling, and data warehousing concepts
- Expertise in creating complex dashboards with parameter controls and advanced calculations
- Familiarity with ETL tools or workflows that integrate with Tableau (e.g., Alteryx, Informatica)
- Understanding of modern BI platforms and how Tableau integrates into an enterprise stack
- Capabilities in performance tuning and troubleshooting Tableau dashboards
- Background in collaborating across cross-functional teams including data engineers and analysts
Nice to have
- Background in front-end data visualization tools like Power BI or Looker
- Familiarity with programming languages like Python or R for advanced analytics
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and their BI integrations
- Understanding of Tableau’s APIs for automation or custom extensions
- Showcase of Tableau certifications or advanced training
