Solution Architect II (Java)

We are currently looking for a talented Solution Architect II (Java) to become a key member of our creative team.

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in developing resilient software solutions, emphasizing Java-based systems and knowledge of Geospatial mapping technologies. You will spearhead strategic planning, system development, and architectural decisions across our technology stack while managing stakeholder interactions and fostering effective collaboration on several initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee strategic projects involving cloud, integrative, and on-premises solutions, working with various business and technical teams
  • Evaluate business challenges, guiding the vision and requirements to create appropriate solutions
  • Work alongside domain architects to maintain IT standards and best practices
  • Ensure design validity, checking for consistency and future technology compatibility
  • Execute proof-of-concept tests to evaluate integration solutions, measuring business impact
  • Create documentation for integration processes and strategies for present and future scenarios
  • Lead and advocate for solution design, presenting to the Architectural Review Board for endorsement
Requirements
  • Experience spanning at least 7 years in software development, systems design, or technical architecture roles
  • Minimum of 3 years in comprehensive architectural roles
  • Solid understanding of architectural principles and software development methodologies
  • Extensive skill in systems architecture, API design, database frameworks, and programming principles
  • Profound knowledge of architecture methodologies and software development cycles
  • Architectural certifications such as TOGAF, EACOE, or similar qualifications
  • Background in utilizing Cloud Platforms like GCP and AWS
  • Familiarity with Microservices, Event Mesh, and Data pipelines
  • Competency in BigQuery, Cloud Storage, both Structured and Unstructured Data
  • Expertise in Elastic, CI/CD Pipelines, API-First strategies, Observability, and Kafka
Nice to have
  • GeoServer expertise
  • Advanced familiarity with Big Data and Elastic Stack
  • Understanding of Event Sourcing methodologies
