Solution Architect I (Java)

We are seeking a skilled Solution Architect I (Java) to join our dynamic team.

The ideal candidate will be pivotal in building robust software solutions with a focus on Java-based environments and an understanding of Geospatial mapping technologies. You will lead strategic planning, system design, and architecture within our technology landscape while managing stakeholder relations and ensuring effective teamwork across multiple projects.

Responsibilities
  • Lead strategic initiates involving cloud, integration, and on-premises solutions, coordinating with various business and technical teams
  • Review and assess business challenges, steering the vision and requirements to devise suitable solutions
  • Collaborate with domain architects to uphold IT standards and procedures
  • Validate designs, ensuring their viability and alignment with future technology directions
  • Conduct proof-of-concept tests to assess integration solutions, quantifying business impact
  • Document integration processes and transition strategies for current and future state scenarios
  • Oversee and champion Solution design, presenting to the Architectural Review Board for approval
Requirements
  • 5+ years in roles focused on software development, systems design, or technical architecture
  • Minimum 2 years in comprehensive architecture disciplines
  • Strong grasp of architectural foundations and software development methodologies
  • Thorough expertise in systems design, API design, database frameworks, and programming concepts
  • In-depth familiarity with architecture methodologies and software development life cycles
  • Certifications in Architecture (TOGAF, EACOE, or similar)
  • Experience with Cloud Platforms such as GCP and AWS
  • Knowledge of Microservices, Event Mesh, and Data pipelines
  • Understanding of BigQuery, Cloud Storage, both Structured and Unstructured Data
  • Proficiency in Elastic, CI/CD Pipelines, API-First strategies, Observability and Kafka
Nice to have
  • GeoServer expertise
  • Advanced knowledge in Big Data and Elastic Stack
  • Familiarity with Event Sourcing methodologies
