We are searching for a remote Solution Architect with expertise in Sybase.
In this critical role, you will contribute to the evolution of our database architecture. Responsibilities
- Review and analyze current database architecture and infrastructure
- Document system components and identify areas for improvement
- Recommend optimal technical strategies to modernize a legacy database system
- Oversee infrastructure upgrades, schema design, and data modeling efforts
- Manage data migration and real-time replication tasks effectively
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop improved database designs
- Conduct performance evaluations and tuning for optimal database operations
- Perform root cause analysis to resolve performance bottlenecks and system issues
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in software design and development
- 5+ years of professional experience as a Sybase production Database Administrator
- 2+ years in a leadership role within database-focused projects
- Expertise in database architecture and configuration
- Knowledge of general database design and development principles
- Familiarity with very large databases and data warehousing solutions
- Proficiency in English communication (written and spoken) at a B2 level
Nice to have
- Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, and Azure
