We are seeking a remote Solution Architect with Sybase expertise.

Responsibilities
- Review and document existing database architecture and infrastructure
- Recommend best practices and optimal approaches for updating legacy database systems
- Oversee upgrades, re-structuring efforts, infrastructure changes, schema designs, and data modeling
- Coordinate data migration and real-time replication processes
- Collaborate with team members to achieve improved database design objectives
- Conduct performance tests and optimize to maintain database efficiency
- Analyze root causes and resolve performance issues
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 years in software design and development
- At least 5 years of experience as a hands-on Sybase production Database Administrator
- Leadership experience of at least 2 years in similar roles
- Expertise in database architecture and configuration methodologies
- Knowledge of general database design and development standards
- Familiarity with very large databases or data warehousing
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken) at a B2 level
Nice to have
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure
