We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Automation Tester to join our remote team, working with a leading provider of cloud-based solutions for businesses. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software solutions through automated testing, utilizing your expertise in JavaScript and testing frameworks such as Mocha and Protractor. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to dive into AWS CDK (on Typescript) to help with the covering of IaC code with regression testing and disaster recovery testing

Responsibilities

Develop and implement automated testing scripts to ensure software quality and reliability
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review software requirements and identify potential issues
Conduct testing in the context of infrastructure, including regional load balancing and failover
Contribute to the creation of automated disaster recovery tests
Identify and diagnose issues, bugs, and usability issues, providing valuable insights to the development team
Prepare detailed reports covering all aspects of software testing, including identified issues and testing outcomes
Contribute to the development of testing frameworks and methodologies to improve testing efficiency and effectiveness

Requirements

Strong experience of 3 years in Automated Testing, with a focus on JavaScript and testing frameworks such as Mocha and Protractor
In-depth knowledge of CI/CD concepts and IaC, with a willingness to dive into AWS CDK (on Typescript) to help with regression testing and disaster recovery testing
Experience in testing software in the context of infrastructure, including regional load balancing and failover
Practical experience in testing cloud-based solutions, utilizing Amazon Web Services (AWS) or similar cloud-based platforms
Proficient in creating and executing automated test scripts, utilizing your knowledge of JavaScript and testing frameworks
Excellent communication skills and strong critical thinking capabilities to effectively convey feedback and insights
Good organizational skills and a detail-oriented mindset, crucial for meticulous testing efforts
Fluent spoken and written English at an Upper-Intermediate level or higher, enabling effective communication

Nice to have

Experience with AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK)
Practical experience with WebdriverIO, contributing to the development of automated testing frameworks
