We are seeking a skilled Senior SAP Consultant specializing in Merchandising to contribute to the modernization, support, and seamless transition of the SAP Retail landscape. As part of a pivotal global initiative, you will oversee the SAP Retail Merchandising Management stream, ensuring smooth operations and driving ongoing enhancements that align with our strategic goals.
Responsibilities
- Participate in intensive knowledge transfer (KT) sessions to build a comprehensive understanding of business processes, configurations, and custom code for SAP Retail Merchandising Management
- Perform hands-on exercises in lower environments to confirm and deepen acquired knowledge
- Update and enhance support documentation, including SOPs and runbooks, to maintain operational excellence
- Manage escalations and efficiently resolve complex incidents within the relevant stream while maintaining quality standards
- Enable knowledge retention and seamless service continuity by assisting in key transition activities, such as shadowing and reverse shadowing
- Optimize and innovate SAP Retail Merchandising processes over the long term, focusing on areas such as Pricing, Promotions, Assortments, Listings, and Vendor Contract management
- Collaborate on integration initiatives between SAP functionalities and external systems, including JDA Planogram integration
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience working with SAP retail solutions with expertise in SAP Retail and SAP-IS: Retail Solutions
- Proficiency in SAP Retail Merchandising domains, including Pricing, Promotions, Assortments, Listings, and Vendor Contract management
- In-depth understanding of SAP-IS: Retail as a component of SAP ERP and Industry Solutions/Retail
- Capability to integrate SAP solutions with external systems, demonstrated through experience with JDA Planogram integration
- Background in supporting large-scale SAP projects and managing transitions, including knowledge transfer activities and incident handling
- English proficiency at a B1+ level
Nice to have
- Familiarity with SAP Retail Sales and Purchasing processes
- Understanding of SAP Retail Master Data functionalities
- Background in SAP-IS: Industry Solutions/Retail for specific advanced use cases
