We are hiring a Senior SAP CAP Java Developer to join our team focused on SAP Business Technology Platform projects. This role involves crafting reliable backend solutions using SAP CAP on BTP, engaging with global teams, and contributing throughout the software development lifecycle. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit and analyze business needs
- Translate business requirements into technical designs and implementation plans
- Develop backend applications and scalable services
- Participate in peer code reviews to ensure coding standards
- Troubleshoot issues and provide timely solutions
- Assist with performance tuning and application optimization
- Document technical designs and project details
- Work closely with team members to support project goals
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional software development experience
- Strong Java backend development skills for enterprise solutions
- Hands-on experience with SAP Cloud Application Programming (CAP) framework
- Work experience on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)
- Good command of Spring Boot for microservices and backend tasks
- Experience creating REST APIs
- Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design methodology
- Capability to lead technical efforts and mentor others
- Familiarity with DevOps tooling such as Jenkins for CI/CD
- Experience with software engineering best practices like code reviews, source control, testing, and release management
- Understanding of agile methodologies including TDD, continuous integration, and delivery
- English proficiency at B2 level or better
Nice to have
- Understanding SAP cloud offerings for integration purposes
- Skills in SAPUI5 for user interface development
- Experience with SAP HANA Cloud Database solutions
