We are seeking a Senior SAP CAP based Java Developer to join our strategic SAP Signavio project focused on building enterprise-grade services on SAP Business Technology Platform using CAP with Java.
You will contribute to delivering scalable, secure, and maintainable cloud services aligned with SAP's best practices while collaborating closely with senior stakeholders. Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable Java backend services using SAP CAP framework
- Implement REST APIs following domain-driven design principles
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals
- Ensure high-quality code through coding standards, code reviews, and testing practices
- Drive initiatives to improve architecture, security, and maintainability
- Utilize DevOps tools like Jenkins to support continuous integration and delivery
- Apply agile methodologies including test-driven development for software delivery
- Manage source control and build processes effectively
- Participate in release management and deployment activities
- Monitor and troubleshoot production issues to ensure service reliability
- Document technical specifications and development processes
- Mentor junior developers and share best practices within the team
Requirements
- Strong Java backend development experience with 3+ years
- Proficient in SAP CAP framework for Java
- Solid understanding of Spring Boot framework
- Experience implementing RESTful APIs
- Knowledge of domain-driven design concepts
- Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Jenkins
- Practice of modern software engineering including coding standards, code reviews, and testing
- Experience with agile software development methodologies including test-driven development and continuous integration/delivery
- Good communication skills in English at B2 Upper-Intermediate level
Nice to have
- Experience with SAP HANA Cloud Platform
- Knowledge of SAP Business Technology Platform products and services
- Familiarity with SAP CAP CDS
- Exposure to SAP Cloud Platform
- Understanding of SAPUI5 framework
