We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior QA Engineer with proficiency in JavaScript to join our team.
This role involves developing robust automated test suites for applications like Dataiku and Spotfire, integrating these tests into our CI/CD pipeline, and driving best practices in quality assurance. The position offers an opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies in a collaborative and dynamic setting.
Responsibilities
- Define comprehensive test plans to ensure product quality
- Align testing strategies with specific release schedules
- Automate test suites using tools such as Cypress, Selenium, and others
- Conduct unit, smoke, and end-to-end tests across various environments
- Embed automated testing in CI/CD pipelines leveraging Azure DevOps and ArgoCD
- Coordinate with development and portfolio teams to identify and document issues effectively
- Adapt test automation processes within GCP/GKE/AKS environments for scalability
- Ensure adequate test coverage for software developed in Python, JavaScript, and Go
- Apply helm test, pytest, and Swagger to validate application performance
- Enhance communication with cross-functional teams to address technical obstacles
- Boost testing process efficiency to deliver results within deadlines
- Advocate for quality standards throughout the development lifecycle
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional experience in automation testing and programming skills in JavaScript, Cypress, Selenium, and Node.js
- Background in CI/CD pipeline setup and integration with automation frameworks using Azure DevOps and ArgoCD
- Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and Linux for testing and deployment
- Skills in using helm test, pytest, and Swagger for evaluations
- Strong collaboration and communication ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams
- Experience in developing and managing test cases in tools like Azure DevOps
- Capability for analytical problem-solving and effective task prioritization
- Familiarity with unit testing, smoke testing, and end-to-end testing methodologies
- Expertise in programming languages like Python, JavaScript, Go, and frameworks such as Cucumber
Nice to have
- Understanding of data science platforms such as Dataiku or Spotfire
- Familiarity with supplementary CI/CD tools including Docker and Node.js
- Background in testing workflows within cloud environments like GCP or GKE
- Proficiency in Go Core to validate testing mechanisms
- Knowledge of data science workflows and integration with related analytics tools
