Responsibilities
- Improve performance of existing services
- Parallelize project indexing to enhance efficiency
- Implement per project indexing for all stations as needed
- Cache indexed overlays for better efficiency
- Modify task scheduler for continuous overlay downloads and indexing
- Thoroughly throttle downloads to maintain optimal indexing rates
- Collaborate with the Solr team to split indexes for future growth
Requirements
- 3+ years of relevant experience in a similar role
- Experience in Python programming with a strong focus on web development
- Proficiency in deploying services using Amazon Elastic Container Service
- Background in Infrastructure as Code development and maintenance with Terraform
- Understanding of Apache Solr for indexing and search functionalities
- Familiarity with Redis for managing data caching
- English proficiency to effectively communicate within the team
