Senior Python Developer

We seek an experienced Senior Python Developer to join our advanced technology team engaged in crafting language model-driven experiences employing effective client code for use in high-volume production settings.

The ideal candidate will partake in architecture discussions, utilize state-of-the-art language model services, and improve interactions with AI models through API.

Responsibilities
  • Orchestration of LLM-driven experiences that excite our customers
  • Writing efficient Python API server code for handling requests
  • Development of innovative LLM client code suitable for high-volume production settings
  • Employment of state-of-the-art LLM models and services
  • Enabling prompt engineers and other SMEs through intuitive prompting frameworks
  • Crafting SQL queries and occasional schema design
  • Participation and contribution to architecture discussions with various teams
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in software engineering on an engineering/product team, preference for startup experience
  • Proficiency in Python, HTTP API, and SQL
  • Background in language model integration and application via code from OpenAI, Anthropic, Cohere, Llama, or Mistral
  • Experienced across stages of the ML development lifecycle including data labeling, curation, cleaning, and model serving
  • Demonstrated strong software engineering judgment and decision-making skills
  • Fluent English communication skills at a B2+ level
Nice to have
  • Expertise in model evaluation and LLM prompting techniques
  • Familiarity with designing schemas
  • Competency in teamwork and leading independent projects
