We seek an adept Senior PHP Developer well-versed in PHP and MySQL, eager to integrate into our dynamic remote team.
In this role, you'll delve into the client's existing product, devising optimal solutions and boosting system performance. Your collaboration within our skilled developer ensemble will be pivotal, employing Agile/Scrum methodologies to yield top-notch software solutions.
Responsibilities
- Engage with the development team to scrutinize and enhance the client's legacy product, proposing optimal solutions for heightened system performance
- Participate in code review processes, ensuring adherence to best practices and maintaining high code quality
- Craft unit and integration tests for robust system reliability and functionality
- Fine-tune PHP code utilizing profiling tools like XHprof, pinpointing and addressing bottlenecks in the system
- Refactor PHP code with Xdebug to elevate code quality and ease of maintenance
- Create and optimize MySQL queries and transactions, amplifying database performance
- Incorporate .NET technologies to deliver resilient and efficient software solutions
- Implement Redis/Memcached for streamlined data caching and retrieval
- Contribute to Agile/Scrum methodologies, ensuring the delivery of top-tier software solutions
- Collaborate with the development team to establish CI/CD processes and leverage Docker for continuous deployment
- Provide technical expertise and mentorship to less experienced peers, fostering a collaborative and growth-centric environment
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years in PHP development
- Proficiency in MySQL, encompassing transactions, ACID, and slow logs
- Proven proficiency with profiling tools such as XHprof, adept at identifying and optimizing system bottlenecks
- Experience with Redis/Memcached for efficient data caching and retrieval
- Competence in CI/CD practices and adept use of Docker for continuous delivery and deployment
- In-depth knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies, boasting a track record of successful project delivery
- Exceptional English language skills (Upper-Intermediate level or higher) for effective communication with the team and stakeholders
Nice to have
- Experience with SugarCRM or SuiteCRM, offering valuable domain-specific insights
- Demonstrated proficiency in .NET technologies, contributing to the creation of robust and efficient software solutions
- Extensive familiarity with OPcache/APC and adept use of refactoring techniques with Xdebug
- Experience with Microsoft Azure, facilitating scalable and reliable application development
