We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Support Engineer to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing top-tier support and contributing to the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of our global data network infrastructure. This role demands an individual who can deliver level 3 troubleshooting, ensure system availability, and engage with cross-functional teams to maintain a robust networking environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and deploy network infrastructure spanning LAN/WAN environments
- Handle 3rd level troubleshooting across all LAN/WAN issues
- Maintain all network monitoring and reporting systems
- Generate and upkeep comprehensive documentation for all deployed systems and changes
- Deliver non-business hours support when on on-call duty
- Complete administrative tasks including time entry and status reports
- Install and configure a variety of network devices and services, like routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs
- Update systems with new patches, hotfixes, service packs, and security configurations
- Monitor network performance to guarantee system availability and reliability
- Track system resource utilization for capacity planning
- Ensure compliance with configuration and change management policies
- Implement security tools and procedures in collaboration with the security team
- Partner with vendors and IT staff for problem resolution
- Provide technical trainings to internal teams
Requirements
- Proficiency in next-generation firewall technologies, preferably Cisco Firepower
- Background in SD-WAN technologies, Silver Peak preferred
- Competency in troubleshooting network loops, asymmetric routing, and STP issues
- Capability to configure and troubleshoot Cisco ASA, IPS, and ISE
- Familiarity with troubleshooting wireless technologies, Cisco WLC preferred
- Skills in troubleshooting and configuring EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, VLAN, VTP, STP, EtherChannel, and QoS
- Understanding of TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, SMTP, SNMP, SSL, and other application protocols
- Expertise in network security setups including IPSec/SSL VPN, Cisco AnyConnect, AAA architecture, TACACS+, RADIUS, and 802.1x
- Proficiency in managing Cisco Catalyst & Nexus 9K/7K series switches
- Skills in configuring Cisco IOS, NX-OS software, and application load balancers
- Knowledge of firewall cloud services, Zscaler preferred
- CCNP certification required
- BA Degree / B.S. Degree
Nice to have
- Experience working with various applications such as SAP, Citrix, and Portal
- Additional certifications in network or security domains are highly advantageous
