Senior Network Engineer (Cloud DNS / BlueCat)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Engineer to lead and manage our Cloud DNS and BlueCat environments.

As a critical part of our cloud networking team, you will design, implement, and manage our advanced DNS infrastructure while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and secure network solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and manage cloud network infrastructure across hybrid environments
  • Administer BlueCat DNS and DHCP systems for centralized network management
  • Manage and integrate DNS records across cloud-native solutions (AWS Route 53, GCP Cloud DNS, Azure DNS) and on-prem solutions like BlueCat
  • Develop and enforce network policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance and reliability
  • Monitor and troubleshoot network performance to maintain high availability and identify potential issues
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align network architecture with business and technical requirements
  • Automate recurring network-related tasks using scripting (Python, Terraform, etc.) to optimize efficiency
  • Ensure security and best practices are incorporated into all aspects of the cloud and DNS network environment
  • Stay informed on industry advancements and implement innovative technologies or practices as needed
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience with cloud networking services, including VPC, VPN, and Cloud Interconnect
  • Experience with Cloud DNS platforms and centralized BlueCat DNS/DHCP management
  • Proficiency in network security principles and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
  • Extensive knowledge of IP addressing, CIDR notation, and subnetting for advanced network configurations
  • Experience with network automation tools and scripting languages, including Python and Terraform
  • Working experience with Jenkins pipeline integration and build processes
  • Expertise using network monitoring tools like ELK and SolarWinds for performance analysis
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex network environments
  • Strong communication and team collaboration abilities in hybrid and remote work environments
  • Availability to participate in on-call rotation schedules when required
Nice to have
  • Professional Cloud Network Engineer certifications for GCP, AWS, or Azure platforms
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes and Docker
