Senior JavaScript Developer for a Media company

JavaScript, Elasticsearch, NoSQL Databases, Angular, Node.js

Currently, we are looking for a remote Senior JavaScript Developer to join our team.

Responsibilities

Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc
Develop the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using Node.JS, Elasticsearch, and Pentaho technologies
Work with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Data and Design teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs

Requirements

3+ years of experience in JavaScript Development
Advanced knowledge of Full-stack JavaScript web development, such as NodeJS, and Angular, and a clear understanding of object-oriented programming, functional programming, and RESTful architecture
Experience with Git, Shell script, and Linux environment
Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases, including Elasticsearch
Optimizing RESTful requests for performance
Advanced working Elasticsearch knowledge and experience working with NoSQL as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases
Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement
A successful history of manipulating, processing and extracting value from large disconnected datasets
Working knowledge of node.js, angular, message queuing
Strong team player and organizational skills
Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment
