We are currently seeking a Senior Java Developer to join our remote team, working on a new project that will utilize the latest technologies in microservices and cloud computing. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Java-based applications and services, ensuring the highest level of quality and performance. Responsibilities
- Design and develop Java-based applications and services, ensuring the highest level of quality and performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to other developers
- Ensure adherence to software development best practices and coding standards
- Identify and troubleshoot complex issues, providing timely resolutions
- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
- Work closely with DevOps engineers to ensure seamless deployment and delivery of applications and services
Requirements
- Experience working in Agile environments, with a solid understanding of its principles and practices
- At least 3 years of experience in Java development, with a strong understanding of Java Core concepts and principles
- Experience with Spring Boot framework for building scalable and reliable applications
- Proficiency in Java 8, with a solid understanding of its features and capabilities
- Fluent spoken and written English at an Upper-Intermediate level or higher
- Experience in microservices architecture pattern, with a solid understanding of its principles and implementation best practices
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform, with a solid understanding of its services and capabilities
- Experience in continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
- Strong proficiency in SQL, with the ability to write complex queries and optimize database performance
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a strong ability to identify and troubleshoot complex issues
- Experience in unit testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment, with strong collaboration skills
