Senior Java Developer with AEM expertise

We are looking for a talented and motivated Senior Java Developer with AEM expertise to contribute to the redevelopment of a high-profile e-commerce platform.

This role involves modernizing and refactoring the back-end Java layer that supports front-end components within the Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) environment. By contributing to the transformation of a legacy system into a dynamic, modern architecture, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and refactor Java-based solutions supporting front-end integration in AEM
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement system improvements
  • Ensure technical deliverables align with business and project requirements
  • Write and maintain unit tests to reinforce automated testing workflows
  • Conduct code reviews, ensuring functionality, scalability, and adherence to development standards
  • Optimize application performance to improve reliability and user experience
  • Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
  • Resolve complex technical issues to support smooth delivery of the project
  • Document technical designs and workflows to support system maintainability
  • Facilitate seamless integration of AEM assets and various platform components
Requirements
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Java, AEM, and related technologies
  • Expertise in Java development
  • Knowledge of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), particularly with sites and assets
  • Proficiency in writing unit tests, code reviews, and adhering to development standards
  • Background in e-commerce or large-scale web application development with an understanding of refactoring legacy system components
  • Skills in integrating front-end/back-end systems, resolving dependencies between AEM and external technologies
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team following agile principles
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, at least at a B2 level
Nice to have
  • Familiarity with modern e-commerce architecture patterns
  • Understanding of frameworks similar to AEM's backend infrastructure
  • Experience with agile development frameworks and tools like Jira or Confluence
