Senior Java Developer

We are seeking a Senior Java Developer to join our remote team who will help build the future of fleet management and service marketplace for our customers. Our platform is composed of Java on the backend as AWS Lambdas and React/Redux on the front end. As a Senior Java Developer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining performant, distributed systems that meet business expectations. You will work with a team of talented developers to ensure that our platform is secure, reliable, and easy to use.

Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain systems responsible for fleet management, marketplace, and platform
  • Create software that considers performance, security, reliability, and monitoring in a multi-tenant SaaS platform
  • Document and communicate the design of the systems to other team members
  • Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies such as daily standup, sprint planning, and retrospectives
  • Coordinate with product management to estimate, refine, and plan the product roadmap for upcoming features
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in Java development, with a focus on building scalable and distributed systems
  • Experience with AWS Lambda and cloud-based technologies, including Docker containers and Amazon ECS
  • Proficiency in build tools such as Apache Maven and Gradle
  • Experience with Git for version control
  • Experience in AWS
  • Experience with React/Redux on the front end
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
  • Experience with Agile Scrum development methodologies
  • Fluent spoken and written English at an Upper-Intermediate level or higher
