Senior Java Developer

We are seeking a remote Senior Java Developer to join our team and work on exciting projects. As a Java Developer, you will work on designing and developing high-performance, scalable, and reliable applications that meet the needs of our clients. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with a team of highly skilled developers, as well as work independently, to deliver high-quality software. You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software solutions.

Our ideal candidate has at least 3 years of experience in developing and designing software, with a working experience in Java and front-end technologies such as React. They should have strong programming fundamentals and the ability to rapidly self-train on new technologies.

Responsibilities

Design and develop high-performance, scalable, and reliable applications using Java and Spring Boot
Collaborate with a team of highly skilled developers to deliver high-quality software
Work independently to design, develop, test, and maintain software solutions
Participate in code reviews and ensure that code meets quality standards
Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and programming languages
Troubleshoot and debug software issues
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers

Requirements

3+ years of relevant work experience
Expertise in Java programming language and Spring Boot framework
Experience in developing RESTful APIs using Java
Understanding of reactive programming concepts and practices
Experience in developing and designing web-based applications and architecture
Experience in front-end technologies, with a working experience in React preferred
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to see patterns in work and come up with engineering solutions
Experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS) ecosystem
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English at an upper-intermediate level

Nice to have

Experience in operations and incident management
Familiarity with AWS services such as EC2, S3, and RDS
Experience in containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
Knowledge of other programming languages such as Python or Node.js
Experience in CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
