Senior Java Developer

Remote in Mexico

We are looking for a Senior Java Developer to join our team and contribute to building and enhancing a client product designed to improve developer productivity within engineering teams. This role will involve working on end-to-end lifecycle management of servers and applications, delivering scalable and efficient solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications and services
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver high-quality solutions
  • Optimize application performance and ensure scalability for enterprise environments
  • Implement best practices for software development, including code reviews and testing strategies
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience as a Java Developer in professional environments
  • Proficiency in the Spring framework, including Spring Boot and Spring MVC, for building enterprise-grade applications
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities to address complex technical challenges
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Fluent English skills (written and spoken) at a B1 level or higher to ensure effective communication
Nice to have
  • Familiarity with integration technologies and patterns, such as APIs, web services, and microservices
  • Experience in developing tools that enhance developer efficiency and productivity
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment
  • Knowledge of AI/ML platforms and tools to support advanced development efforts
  • Understanding of prompting engineering concepts and their application in development projects
