Senior Java Developer

Java, JUnit, REST API, SQL, Spring Boot, Microservice Architecture Pattern, MongoDB

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Java Developer to join our dynamic, cross-functional, and cross-located scrum team.

The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining advanced applications, focusing on creating robust back-end services and enhancing our existing systems.

Responsibilities

Develop, enhance, and maintain code for various applications
Construct back-end microservices and REST APIs
Perform unit testing to ensure application functionality
Conduct code reviews to maintain coding standards
Adhere to and advocate for best practices such as code reviews and continuous integration
Participate in Scrum ceremonies for project collaboration and development
Engage in estimation and planning sessions to effectively schedule project timelines
Mentor junior developers and foster a collaborative team environment
Demonstrate a willingness and capability to learn new technologies and architect frameworks quickly

Requirements

3+ years of development work experience
Proficiency in Java and Spring Framework
Knowledge of APIs and microservices architecture
Competency in SQL, Spring, and Spring Boot
Background in financial services with a focus on wealth management (preferred)
Flexibility to adapt to new coding languages and technologies as needed
Fluent English communication skills at a B2+ level

Nice to have

Familiarity with Spring Batch
Understanding of Microservice Architecture Pattern
Experience with MongoDB and Java Microservice Infrastructure
