Senior Java Developer

We are in search of a seasoned Senior Java Developer to join a dynamic cross-functional scrum team within a prominent Wealth Management firm operating in a Broker-dealer model. The ideal candidate will contribute significantly through hands-on development and mentoring within the team.

This role is ideal for a developer who is eager to learn and grow within a supportive team environment while contributing to significant projects.

Responsibilities

Develop, enhance, and maintain code for various applications
Build and maintain back-end Microservices and REST APIs
Conduct unit testing to ensure application performance
Review code to maintain standard and efficiency
Adhere to coding practices including code review, unit testing, continuous integration, and other best practices
Engage in Scrum ceremonies and contribute to the Agile process
Provide accurate estimates during planning sessions
Offer guidance and mentorship to other developers and collaborate with peers

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
6+ years of development work experience
Proficiency in Java and Spring Framework
Competency in building and integrating APIs and microservices
Familiarity with WebLogic

Nice to have

Master’s degree in Computer Science
Background in Financial Services, specifically wealth management
